English 10

Below follows the course information for English ten, as provided by the course planning guides.

Prerequisite: English 9 (EN9)

Fees: $8.00 for a workbook

This course is the pivotal English course in secondary school
for refining the skills of grades 8 and 9. Continued emphasis is placed
on written skills and several essay assignments will be completed. As
in grades 8 and 9 the focus will be on the reading of poetry, short
stories, novels and plays. In each of the English 8, 9, 10 courses at
Point Grey many fiction and non-fiction titles have been purchased to
supplement the regular provincial curricula.
